Travis you showed not only self-control but also self-direction and leadership at times during your successful passion project. Your chess has also come a long way this year and it was great to see you take it to the next level by entering the Otago Southland chess competition. You have followed your areas of interest to make the most of your learning opportunities in a wide range of subjects and you have built relationships with both new and returning students, you have a real potential for leadership Travis, and I would like to see you continue to develop this over the next couple of terms.

Books!
Last week at Enrich@I.L.T Tom, Jack and I rang Donavan School and asked if they could donate some books to us and fortunately Jack's Mum sometimes teaches at Donavan so when she goes to Donavan, the office will give her some books in a big box. When I walked in the doors of Enrich today Jack came running up to me and told me that the books have arrived which was exciting.
I counted the books and there were 68 books!

My Passion Project
At Enrich there is only three more weeks to go! Well make that three more days till the end of the term so I have to to get my passion project done... fast. Jack, Tom and I are ringing up library's from all over in Southland and South Otago to donate some books to us so we can donate some books to Discovery 1 in Christchurch who are also wrecked and in the red zone.

Gifted Week
This week is Gifted Awareness Week. To me, being gifted is cool and annoying because you are above average ability and people expect more in some things that you are not so strong at. People that aren't gifted think differently than people that are gifted. At Enrich you work with like minds so you think like them. I'm a year six at school and at Enrich I work with year fives, year four and even year three's. That doesn't matter because we think alike. The things that I enjoy the most at Enrich are: Co-operative games and the use of ICT throughout the day. Each day we come to Enrich, we are emailed the day plan. From here, we have to make sure that we plan our day - I am learning to self-manage my time much better. I really enjoy my time at Enrich.

Giftedness
Today at Enrich I did affective domain and we learnt about giftedness. Here are some models of giftedness. The top one on the left is Tannenbaum's, the one on the right is Renzulli's and the one on the bottom is Gagne's. I learnt that if you want to be something big you need chance like Tony Hawk was born in the right place where there were heaps of skate boarders that introduced him to skate boarding. You also need the right environment, money and support.

Last week at Enrich
Today at Enrich is the last day so I have to finish my must can do sheet which includes blog posts, current affairs, interactions, mental edge and I.C.T workshops and more, so today will be a huge rush.
This term I learnt a lot about time management. Playing chess a lot, does not work! Next term I will not play as much chess, so that I can get my other work done on time!
